Art Deco Silver Onyx & Diamond Brooch Clip
A very striking brooch clip from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This eye-catching piece is made of silver and black onyx, and has a classic Art Deco design. The onyx is carved into a geometric shield-like shape, and is smoothly polished with a glossy finish. Resting in the center is a single sparkling diamond, which is held in a milgrained bezel setting. The back of the piece reveals a secure silver clip with two rows of teeth, which help to secure it to a collar, neckline or jacket. The clip also looks beautiful and modern clipped to a simple silver chain. The silver clip is stamped "935" on the back. A strong Deco piece, it would make a bold addition to any collection!
Measurements: The clip measures 1 1/2" tall, 7/8" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the clip is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to silver setting, the onyx has one minor chip that is not noticeable when worn and does not detract from the beauty of the piece. The diamond is intact, and the clip clamps securely and is in good working condition.
