Art Deco Sterling/14kt Carved Crystal Jade Earrings
A beautiful pair of carved crystal earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! These stunning earrings are of Chinese decent and are quite substantial both in size and appearance. Each earring features a large transparent crystal plaque, which has an ornate hand-carved image that reflects the piece's Chinese origin. A sterling silver frame holds the plaque in place allowing light to pass through the flowing floral design. Each earring dangles from a lovely crystal and jade bead surmount, and 14kt white gold earring wire at the top completes the design. When worn, the earrings hang long and frame the face beautifully, making a fantastic statement piece!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 3" in total length. The carved crystal plaques measure 1 1/2" long, 7/8" wide, and 3/16" thick. The jade beads measure 6mm in size, and the faceted crystal beads measure 10mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or white gold wires. The carved crystal plaques and the jade and crystal beads are intact, securely set, and free of chips or scratches.
