Art Deco Sterling Blue & White Sapphire Line Bracelet
A beautiful sapphire bracelet from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This lovely line bracelet is made of sterling silver, and is comprised of 18 decorative box links that form an alternating pattern. Set within the bracelet are a combination of blue and white sapphires. The majority of the stones are natural, but a few appear to have been previously replaced with synthetic stones. The blue sapphires include oval and round cabochons, while the white sapphires are faceted for a beautiful sparkle! Fine engraved detail decorates the edges of the setting, a lovely finishing touch. The push clasp is disguised within a filigree link at the end, and a safety latch at the side provides additional security. This lovely bracelet would look beautiful worn by itself, or grouped with other complimentary line bracelets!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/4" long, and would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. It measures 3/8" wide and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The bracelet is in good vintage condition. There is some normal surface wear to the setting, which is minor and not unusual for a vintage piece. One of the links at the back has a small break in a portion of the filigree wirework, which is not noticeable when the piece is worn, and does not detract from its overall appearance. The engraved detail is now faded on a few of the links. The blue sapphire cabochons vary in size, shape, and color. One of the stones is cracked on the back, but this is not visible from the front. There is a patina on the surface of the setting, which gives a darkened appearance to the silver.
