Art Deco Sterling Gilt "Pools of Light" Rock Quartz Crystal Necklace
A beautiful rock quartz crystal necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Traditionally known as "Pools of Light," this alluring necklace is comprised of smooth, solid rock quartz crystal spheres, which are connected with sterling silver links. Wrapped around each crystal orb is a decorative bezel. The sterling silver setting is etched with a lovely floral motif, and finished with a gilt surface. The length of the strand allows it to slip comfortably on and off overhead, no need for a clasp. Pools of Light have quite an alluring appearance in person, and this necklace is particularly stunning because of its feminine floral accents. A very wearable and versatile design, it would make a gorgeous addition to any vintage jewelry collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the necklace measures approximately 32" long. Each "Pool of Light" crystal measures approximately 15mm in size.
Condition: The necklace is in very good vintage condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the sterling gilt links, all of which are secure. One of the rock quartz crystal balls has an internal crack, but it is not noticeable when the piece is worn. None of the crystals show any significant surface chips or scratches.
