Art Deco Sterling Large Citrine Drop + Bead Necklace
A fantastic citrine necklace from the Late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of a single, large-sized teardrop citrine that hangs from a sterling silver chain. The citrine teardrop has a faceted surface and lovely coloring and attaches to simple silver bail, which is riveted into the top. The stone hangs from a chain that is detailed with 6 graduating, faceted citrine beads which alternate with sections of sterling chain and bar links. All of the citrine links have wonderful golden yellow color and together pair beautifully with the sterling chain. The piece fastens in the back at a spring clasp which is stamped "STERLING." It's a fabulous piece and would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain of the necklace measures 23.25" long. The large carved citrine pendant hangs approximately 2" long, and is slightly more than 1" at the widest point and has a depth of slightly more than 3/4". The largest faceted citrine bead has an approximate diameter of 11mm, while the smallest has a diameter of 7mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace and pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver chain, or to any of the citrine stones and the clasp is secure and in good working condition.
