Art Deco Sterling Onyx & Diamond Necklace
A beautiful necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This lovely piece has a classic Deco aesthetic, and is comprised of a delicate pendant that hangs from a fine chain. Both the pendant and chain are crafted in sterling silver. The elongated pendant features a black onyx plaque, which is rectangular in shape and smoothly polished. A single accent diamond rests at the base, adding a lovely sparkle! At the top of the pendant is a complimentary bail from which the piece hangs. The chain fastens with a simple spring ring clasp at the back. When worn, it hangs just below the collar bone and makes a lovely statement. The piece has a simple, yet striking design, and the fashionable black and white color scheme would compliment any ensemble. Perfect for everyday wear, it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures approximately 18" long. The pendant hangs 1 1/2" long at the center (including the bail), and measures 3/8" wide and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or chain. The onyx plaque and diamond are both intact, and the clasp fastens securely.
