Arts and Crafts Sterling Silver Citrine Filigree Pendant & Chain
A stunning citrine necklace from the Arts & Crafts period (ca1910)! Crafted in sterling silver, this artistic piece is comprised of an elaborate pendant that hangs from a complimentary chain. An ensemble of citrine stones are set throughout the intricate design, which is layered with fine wirework and beadwork details. Each golden citrine is bezel set and beautifully faceted, catching the light perfectly. Three swinging strands dangle freely from the base in a tiered festoon fashion, the center link hanging the longest. At the top of the pendant is a complimentary fluted bail. The accompanying chain fastens with a simple spring ring clasp in the back. This extraordinary necklace displays exquisite craftsmanship, and would make an exceptional addition to any antique jewelry collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 18" long. The pendant hangs 3 5/8" long (including the bail), and measures 1 1/4" across at the widest point.
Condition: The necklace is in very good antique condition. There is some surface wear to the sterling setting, which is commensurate with age, and does not detract from the beauty of the design. All of the citrine stones are intact, securely set, and free of chips or scratches. The bail and spring ring clasp are secure and in good working condition. A darkened natural patina is present on the silver setting, which is a common characteristic of antique jewelry.
