Art Nouveau 10kt Moonstone Lavalier Necklace
A beautiful moonstone lavalier drop necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! This elegant design incorporates two large moonstone cabochons within a simple 10kt gold setting. The lavalier-style pendant dangles a large teardrop moonstone below an oval moonstone at the top. Two strands of chain separate the stones, both of which rest in open back bezel settings. The moonstones have a lovely pale blue color and display strong iridescent flashes that catches perfectly in the light! The pendant hangs from a a fluted gold bail and complimentary gold chain, which fastens with a spring ring clasp in the back. A real beauty, this simple and feminine piece would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The chain measures 17.5" long. The moonstone lavalier pendant hangs 2 1/2" long, including the bail at the top. The teardrop moonstone measures 1" tall and 1/2" wide. The oval moonstone measures 1/2" tall and 3/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the moonstones, both of which are intact and secure. The spring ring clasp is secure and in good working condition.
