Art Nouveau 10kt Pearl Diamond Enameled Lavalier Pendant Necklace
A delicate and beautiful lavalier pendant necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This feminine piece is made of vibrant 10kt yellow gold and has a lovely, curvilinear appearance. Resting at the center of the pendant is a single lustrous pearl, surrounded by fine open wirework and framed by two textured feather-like shapes. A wirework arch fans at the top of the pendant and the fine wirework frame comes to a dramatic point at the bottom. Dangling freely from the bottom is a single old Mine Cut diamond which rests within a high prong setting and is bordered by a white enameled disk frame. The pearl display a rich, shimmery luster that adds softness piece and the white enameling and diamond complete the lovely and feminine design. At the top of the pendant is a fluted bail which hangs from a simple gold chain. The back of the bail is stamped "10K". A beautiful example of Art Nouveau jewelry, this wonderful lavalier pendant necklace would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 5/8" long and measures 5/8" at the widest point. The chain measures 16" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or bail or to the enameling, and the diamond and pearl are intact.
