Art Nouveau 14kt Mine Cut Diamond Repousse Bangle Bracelet 2.25ctw
An exquisite bangle bracelet from the Art Nouveau (ca1909) era! This slip-on style bangle is crafted in 14kt gold and features a lovely repousse motif. The flowing design covers the entire surface of the bracelet, creating a graceful pattern of swirls and feminine flowers that give lovely texture to the piece. A row of three old Mine Cut diamonds are set across the front of the bangle, together adding a beautiful sparkle! The center diamond weighs approximately 0.85ct, and has estimated I/J color and SI1 clarity. The outer two diamonds collectively weigh approximately 1.40ctw (0.70ct each) and display I-J range color and VS2 range clarity. A hand engraved inscription can be found along the inside the bangle which reads "Fred to Katie with Love Xmas 1909" along with a "14K" gold purity stamp. A spectacular antique piece, it would make a stylish addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The interior of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall, and would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold repousse setting or to any of the three diamonds, which are intact and securely set.
