Art Nouveau 14kt Mine Cut Diamond Swirled Pin/Pendant 1.20ctw
A beautiful diamond pendant/pin from the Art Nouveau (ca1890) era! This artistic piece is formed by swirls of gold branches crafted in 14kt yellow gold. Each scrolled shape that branches out from the center is adorned with a sparkling Mine Cut diamond at the end, forming a sparkling border! A single stone is set at the center, the perfect finishing touch. All of the stones are held within raised prongs at the center of a buttercup setting. The eight surrounding diamonds weigh approximately .10ct each (.80ctw total) and the center stone is approximately .40ct in size. The overall carat weight of the piece is approximately 1.20 ctw. The reverse side of the piece has both a hidden swinging bail and a pin clasp, allowing it to be worn on a chain or fastened to a favorite garment. A very delicate and feminine piece, it looks absolutely gorgeous no matter how it is worn!
Measurements: The piece has a 1 1/4" diameter and hangs 1 1/2" long when worn as a pendant. The total weight of the piece is 8.4 grams.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set. Both the swinging bail and pin clasp are secure and in good working condition.
