Art Nouveau 14kt Moonstone Floral Filigree Ring
A beautiful moonstone ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1890) era! This lovely ring holds an alluring moonstone cabochon at the center of a feminine 14kt gold setting. The moonstone is simply mesmerizing, exhibiting strong iridescent properties, and a translucent pale blue color that flashes in the light. Four double prongs hold the cabochon in place within the surrounding bezel, which is open in the back, allowing light to pass through the center. Completing the design is an intricate filigree motif that covers the sides and shoulders of the ring. The flowing design incorporates swirls of curvilinear cutouts with engraved accents, a wonderful representation of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. This gorgeous statement ring would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7, but could be resized. The moonstone center measures approximately 5/8" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests 3/8" above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the moonstone, which is secure and intact.
