Art Nouveau 14kt Ruby & Diamond Textured Earrings
A beautiful pair of gemstone earrings from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! These lovely earrings are crafted in 14kt gold and have a wonderful textured design. Originally a pair of antique cufflinks, they have now been repurposed, making them an excellent conversion piece! A "puffed" gold disc hangs at the base, set with a faceted stone in the center. One of the earrings displays a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond; the other holds a luscious ruby. Each earring hangs from a complimentary textured surmount, which is attached to a simple gold wire at the top. When worn, the earrings have lovely movement and frame the face beautifully. They would make a special addition to any antique collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 3/4" long, including the wires at the top. The gold discs at the base have a 1/2" diameter and measure 3/16" thick. The oval-shaped surmounts measure 3/8" long and 5/16" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or textured detail. The earring wires are securely attached. Both gemstones are intact, securely set, and free of any apparent chips or surface scratches. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold setting, which is normal for antique jewelry and adds to its unique beauty.
