Art Nouveau 18kt Burmese Ruby Pearl Enameled Pendant Necklace
A beautiful and delicate natural ruby pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! Made of 18kt yellow gold, this exquisite piece features three luscious Burmese ruby cabochons that form the shape of a flowing triangular pendant. Each ruby has an open back and is framed by wonderful swirls of vibrant goldwork which is accented by brilliant green enameling. Collectively, the rubies have an overall approximate weight of 3ctw and dangling from the bottom is a large sized natural pearl which perfectly completes the design. The pendant hangs from a complimentary green enameled gold bail which attaches to a fine gold chain. The rich pink color of the natural rubies paired with the lustrous pearl and green accents is simply breathtaking and the pendant looks gorgeous on! A very sweet and feminine design, the piece would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 3/8" long, is 3/4" wide and nearly 1/4" thick. The chain measures 14" in length.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant and chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or enameling, or to the rubies and pearl, all of which are intact and securely set.
