An enchanting lavalier necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! This gorgeous mixed metals necklace combines platinum with 18kt yellow gold for a lovely mixed metals effect. The necklace consists of an elegant pendant that hangs from a complimentary chain. The pendant has an intricate curvilinear design, complete with swirls and flourishes in a traditional Art Nouveau fashion. A faceted aquamarine rests at the center, surrounded by sparkling accent diamonds throughout the branch-like setting. Three additional aquamarines dangle freely from the base, hanging from strands of chain with delicate natural pearls. The complimentary chain features a row of aquamarines and accent pearls that perfectly compliment the central lavalier. The chain fastens with a barrel push clasp at the back, and drapes gracefully at the collar bone when worn. A timeless and truly stunning antique piece, it would look incredible worn on special occasions!
Measurements: The chain measures 17" long. The lavalier pendant hangs 1 1/2" long at the center, and measures 7/8" wide and 1/4" at the thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold setting. All of the aquamarines, diamonds, and natural pearls are intact. The chain and barrel clasp are secure and in good working condition.
