Victorian 14kt Mine Cut Diamond "Buttercup" Stud Earrings .50ct
A gorgeous pair of diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These charming studs have a buttercup-inspired design crafted in 14kt gold. Resting at the center is a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond, which weighs approximately .50ct, and has estimated I-J range color and SI range clarity. The diamonds are nestled within the scalloped border, and have a bright and lively appearance that catches the light perfectly. The rest comfortably on the ear, and have secure gold posts and earring backs on the reverse. A stunning pair of everyday earrings, they would be right at home in any collection!
Measurements: The buttercup settings measure approximately 3/8" in diameter, and rest about 1/8" high.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. Both diamonds are intact and securely set. The gold posts and backs are secure. There is a natural patina on the surface of the setting, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
