Edwardian Platinum Diamond Enameled Horse & Jockey Pin
A beautifully crafted diamond horse and jockey pin from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Made of platinum and 14kt yellow gold, this wonderful diamond encrusted piece portrays the shape of a crouched jockey atop of a horse in mid-gallop. The body of the horse is made of platinum and encrusted with sparkling diamonds in a pavé setting and the horse's reins and saddle are topped in gold, giving the piece a wonderful, mixed metals look. The jockey is made of 14kt yellow gold and carries a rich, enameled surface representing his uniform and hat. On the back is a secure pin clasp and the 2 back legs of the horse are stamped; please see imagery. It's a fabulous piece that would be perfect for any horse racing enthusiast!
Measurements: The horse and jockey pin measures 1 1/2” wide, 1" tall, and has a depth of 3/8”.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold setting and all of the stones are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
