EBEL Late Art Deco 14kt Gold Watch Ring
This beautiful watch ring from the late Art Deco era (ca1930s) is a piece by legendary watchmaker Ebel! The ring is crafted in 14kt white gold, and features a miniature self-winding watch at the center of an ornately etched border. The watch face is oval in shape and has a white background with dark grey hands and black numerals. A small winder can be found at the side, and lightly engraved details travel around the edge of the centerpiece, extending to a tapered split band. A hinge at the side of the centerpiece can be flipped open to reveal the face and inner mechanisms of the watch movement. A very unusual and creative timepiece, this gorgeous ring would make a unique addition to any vintage collection!
Measurement: The ring has a finger size 7, but could be resized slightly if desired. The watch centerpiece measures a little less than 1" tall, slightly more than 1/2" wide, and rests 1/4" high above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the watch ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the watch face and glass covering are intact and free of scratches. Watches of this era should be cleaned and oiled periodically and at this time, the watch is in fine working order. Although the watch is functional, the self-winding design means that it must be wound on a regular basis to keep time.
