Edwardian 14kt Mississippi River Pearl & Sapphire Circle Pendant
A lovely conversion pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Originally an antique pin, the design has been transformed into a beautiful circle pendant, which hangs from a bail at the top. Crafted in 14kt gold, the pendant forms the shape of an open circle. Lining the surface are beautiful sapphires and natural Mississippi River pearls, which form an alternating pattern. The pearls vary slightly in size and shape, displaying a wonderful creamy white color and high luster finish. Each sapphire is prong set and faceted, adding a lovely sparkle and pop of color. Perfect for day or night wear, this versatile pendant is a wonderful example of antique conversion jewelry!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1" long (including the bail at the top), measures 7/8" in diameter, and is about 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. All of the Mississippi River pearls and sapphires are intact and securely set.
