Edwardian 14kt/Platinum Aquamarine Ring 2.25ct
A beautiful aquamarine ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This stunning mixed metals ring is made of platinum-topped 14kt gold. The filigree setting holds a gorgeous oval aquamarine stone at the center. The aquamarine is bezel set and displays a wonderful natural blue color. Shapely cutouts and fine engraved and milgrain detail decorates the sides and shoulders of the mounting, extending to a smooth and simple band at the back. A small hallmark can be found stamped inside the shank. A very feminine and artistic piece, it looks beautiful when worn and would make a lovely addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6, but could easily be re-sized up or down as desired. The aquamarine centerpiece measures 9/16" tall, 3/8" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures approximately 1.5mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the mixed metals setting or to the aquamarine stone, which is intact, securely set, and free of surface chips or scratches.
