Edwardian 18kt Diamond Opal Drop Earrings
A gorgeous pair of opal earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in 18kt white gold, these beautiful earrings feature vibrant opals and sparkling diamonds and carry a soft, feminine design. Each begins with a lovely five petal diamond flower topper which attaches to 14kt gold earring posts. All of the diamonds in the petite flower surmount are bezel set and an additional diamond hangs below, attaching to a single, teardrop opal which dangles from the bottom. The opals are simply mesmerizing, displaying an array of iridescent colors including green, blue, violet, pink and yellow, and each has a cap accented by 3 old Rose Cut diamonds. A wonderful pair of opal earrings, they would look lovely worn everyday or for special occasions!
Measurements: The earrings hang a little less than 1" long, measure 1/4" at the widest and thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the opals and diamond stones, all of which are intact. The earring posts are secure and in good condition.
