Edwardian 14kt & Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring 1.07ct
An absolutely gorgeous two-tone diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece has a very classic look and is crafted in 14kt yellow gold with a platinum box. The diamond stone, which is an old European cut, has a total weight of approximately 1.07ct and is held in a 6-prong setting. The sparkling stone has I color and VS1 clarity, and looks wonderful against the vibrant yellow gold band. A platinum box holds the brilliant center stone and flowing crown wirework can be seen from the sides, adding a wonderful two-tone design to the piece. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist in March 2018 and has a stated retail replacement value of $11,500.00. The original hand engraved initials can still be seen along the shank, however, half of it has been worn away, most likely due to resizing. The ring looks stunning when worn and would make a perfect engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 8.25 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or to the diamond stone, which is intact.
