Edwardian 18kt/Platinum Diamond + Natural Pearl Trio Ring 1.35ctw
A stunning pearl and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This fabulous ring is crafted in vibrant 18kt gold and topped in platinum for a stylish two-tone look. Resting in the center of the ring are three natural pearls, which are particularly large in size. Because the pearls are natural, they display soft variation in color, which further accentuates their natural beauty and high luster appearance. Surrounding the pearls is a diamond encrusted border, which wraps around the centerpiece in a dramatic, glittering row! The old Mine Cut diamonds are prong set in platinum, and collectively have an estimate carat weight of 1.35ctw. Below each pearl is a gold 7-point star, visible on the underside of the centerpiece, where the pearls are likely riveted securely into place. Completing the design is a smooth gold band, which tapers slightly as it nears the back. The markings "B&R" and "18" can be found stamped inside the shank. This gorgeous ring makes quite an impressive statement when worn, and would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5, but could be easily re-sized. The pearl and diamond centerpiece measures 3/4" long, 3/8" wide, and rests about 3/8" above the finger when worn. The tapered gold band measures 2mm wide at the shoulders and 1mm wide at the back. Each pearl is approximately 6mm in size.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum-topped gold setting. All of the pearls and diamonds are intact and securely set.
