Edwardian 18kt/Platinum Mixed Metals Diamond Engagement Ring 0.10ct

SKU: 40056

A lovely and very unusual mixed metals diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This gorgeous piece is made of 18kt yellow gold and platinum and has a beautiful two tone setting, a combination common of the Edwardian era. Set in the center of the ring is an old European Cut diamond, which weighs approximately 0.10ct. With a very striking and interesting design, the diamond is prong set atop a platinum box which has a 6-point star appearance when faced upward. The raised prongs rest in between each star point creating a wonderful look when the ring is worn. Gracing the shoulders of the ring are 6 old Rose Cut diamonds which are also set in platinum, accenting the center stone beautifully. The band of the ring is made of vibrant 18kt yellow gold which compliments the platinum perfectly and the band is smooth all the way around with just two engraved lines on either sides of the band. If requested, the ring can be appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified Gemologist. This unique and lovely ring has a delicate, feminine appearance that looks stunning when worn. It would make a wonderful engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a small finger size of 6.25 but it could easily be re-sized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting or to the diamond stones, all of which are intact.
