Edwardian French 18kt/Platinum Diamond Earrings 1.50ctw
An exquisite pair of mixed metals diamond earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! These lovely French-made earrings are crafted in 18kt yellow gold topped with platinum, and display a simple yet stunning design. The earrings hold a beautiful old Cushion Cut diamond that rests in the center of a gorgeous platinum prong setting. The sparkling stones have a combined approximate weight of 1.50ctw, each held in a stunning filigree wirework setting, creating an incredible profile when worn. A single accent diamond appears to "float" delicately above the larger stones, resting at the base of hinged lever back wires. Stamped along both wires is the French hallmark of a dogs' head, indicating the inclusion of platinum in the design. These gorgeous earrings look simply stunning when worn and would be suitable for both daily wear and special occasions. Both feminine and versatile, they would make a perfect addition to any woman's jewelry collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 5/8" long, and measures a little less than 3/8" wide, and is about 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The earring wires and secure lever backs are intact and in good working condition.
