Edwardian Long Platinum Moonstone & Diamond Drop Earrings
A gorgeous pair of moonstone drop earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Each platinum earring has an elongated link lined with sparkling accent diamonds. Collectively the diamonds weigh approximately .50ctw, and are pavé and bezel set. Dangling freely at the base is an alluring moonstone cabochon, which is contained within an open bezel setting. The moonstones are very clear and have a pale, pearlescent property that flashes in the light. Shapely cutouts along the platinum link add a wonderful filigree element to the already beautiful design. At the top is a simple earring wire attached to the surmount. When worn, the earrings dangle with lovely movement, framing the face beautifully. They have a timeless elegance that would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: The earrings hang 2 1/4" long, including the wires at the top. Each moonstone measures about 3/8" in diameter and is 1/4" thick. The elongated platinum links are 3/8" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or earring wires. The moonstones and diamonds are intact and securely set.
