Edwardian Platinum/14kt Opal & Diamond Double Hearts Ring
A stunning double hearts ring from the early Edwardian (ca1901) era! This breathtaking piece has a unique design crafted in 14kt yellow gold and platinum. Two beautiful hearts are nestled together at the center, each comprised of an opal surrounded by a delicate diamond border. Framing the two hearts is a feminine bow-shaped crown at the top, also lined with diamond accents. The diamonds are all single cut stones, which are pavé set and add a beautiful sparkle! Both opal cabochons have a mesmerizing range of vibrant iridescent colors that seem to glow and shimmer when worn. Completing the design is a smooth gold band with etched grooves at either shoulder. A very beautiful and unique piece, this lovely ring would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.25, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The double hearts centerpiece measures 1/2" wide and 5/8" tall. The centerpiece rests flush against the finger when worn, measuring only 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting, or to the opal and diamond stones, all of which are intact.
