Edwardian Platinum & Diamond Engagement Ring .55ct
A fantastic diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This gorgeous piece is made of platinum and has a very eye-catching design. Set at the center is a sparkling 0.55ct old Mine Cut diamond, which has G color and SI1 clarity. The diamond is prong set in a square-shaped center with a surrounding open channel. Two additional old European Cut diamonds rest on the shoulders of the ring, adding a lovely sparkle. The smaller stones weigh approximately .16ctw and have H-I range color and VS range clarity. Displayed throughout the filigree mounting is exceptional engraved detail, which decorates the sides, shoulders, and band. The shank is stamped "W.D.H. TO M.E.M.M.", along with another mark that is no longer fully legible. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA certified gemologist in November 2014 and has a stated retail replacement value of $4,200.00. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5.75 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum mounting and all of the diamonds are intact.
