Edwardian Platinum Diamond Teardrop Earrings .50ctw
An elegant pair of diamond drop earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! The earrings are crafted in platinum and have a beautiful design encrusted with sparkling diamond accents. A pointed teardrop link dangles freely at the base, hanging from a lovey ellipse surmount. Delicate rose cut diamonds line the surface of each earring in a fine pavé setting. An old mine cut diamond is bezel set at the very center, surrounded by an airline border to create a "floating" appearance. The diamonds weigh approximately .50ctw combined and have H-I range color. Fine cutout lines and delicate milgrain details provide additional depth to the design. A simple screw-back post and earring back rests behind each surmount, allowing for extra security when worn. These feminine earrings have timeless beauty, and would look stunning worn on special occasions!
Measurements: Each diamond earring hangs approximately 1 1/2" long, and measures 5/16" wide and 1/8" thick at the base.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or diamonds. The screw-back posts and earring backs are secure and in good working condition. One delicate rose cut diamond accent stone has been re-set to restore the earrings to their original intact condition.
