Edwardian Platinum Moonstone & Sapphire Pendant & Chain
A lovely moonstone and sapphire necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece is made of platinum, and is comprised of a moonstone and sapphire pendant that hangs from a simple chain. The moonstone cabochon is bezel set within an open-back setting, and is accented with a single sapphire at the top. The moonstone has a gorgeous translucent pale blue color that flashes when caught in the light! It is perfectly complimented by the vibrant blue color of the faceted sapphire, which is also bezel set. The chain fastens securely with a lobster clasp in the back. A very simple yet feminine design, this beautiful necklace and would be a perfect accessory for everyday wear!
Measurements: The chain measures 15.5" long. The moonstone and sapphire pendant hangs 3/4" long, measures 1/2" wide, and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the moonstone and sapphire, both of which are intact and securely set. The chain is in good condition, and the lobster clasp fastens securely.
