Art Deco Platinum Platinum/18kt Opal & Diamond Earrings
An elegant pair of opal drop earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! Each of these gorgeous earrings has a single vibrant opal stone which dangles from a row of sparkling diamonds. The earrings begin with a single old Mine Cut diamond in a 18kt white gold bezel setting that attaches to an earring post. Nine old Rose Cut diamonds rest within a long platinum topped 18kt yellow gold bar link which hangs below, forming a dramatic, glittering line. Attached at the bottom of the bar is a large round natural opal which has an additional Mine Cut stone set at the top. Both the diamond and opal are set in 18kt white gold milgrained bezel settings, perfectly complimenting the striking design. Both opals are incredibly vibrant in color (even more vibrant in person than the website images depict) with hues of green, pink, purple, blue and yellow, and red. Classically beautiful, the earrings look dazzling when worn and would be perfect for special occasions!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1 5/8" long and the diameter of the opals is slightly less than 1/2"
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold setting and all of the diamonds and opals are all intact.
