Edwardian Sterling Moonstone & Garnet Necklace
A lovely moonstone necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful piece is made of sterling and is comprised of a moonstone pendant that hangs from a simple drop centerpiece. An oval moonstone cabochon is bezel set in the center of an open sterling halo design, which is attached to a chain extension. The moonstone has a gorgeous translucent pale blue color that flashes in the light. A sterling link chain forms the necklace, meeting at a luscious garnet stone at the center. The chain fastens in the back with a spring ring clasp. A very simple yet feminine design, this beautiful necklace and would be lovely for everyday wear!
Measurements: The necklace measures 18" long. The centerpiece hangs 1 1/2" long from top to bottom. The moonstone pendant measures 7/8" tall, 3/4" wide, and 3/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to the moonstone and garnet cabochon, both of which are intact. The spring ring clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
