Victorian 18kt Garnet Crescent Pendant & 14kt Chain
An gorgeous garnet crescent necklace from the late Victorian era (ca1900)! Originally worn as a pin, the crescent has since been converted into a pendant, and now hangs from a modern 14kt gold chain. Crafted in 18kt gold, the crescent is lined with luscious deep red garnets, which are faceted and prong set. The garnets vary in size and are arranged in a graduated fashion, with the larger stones resting at the center, the smallest at the tips. The modern chain can be worn at two different lengths, fastening in the back with a lobster clasp marked "14K". Stamped on the back of the crescent is "750." This celestial-inspired piece beautiful in person, and would make a special addition to any collection!

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the garnets, all of which are intact and securely set. The chain and lobster clasp are secure and in good working condition.
