GEORG JENSEN Modernist Sterling Silver Heart Ring No. 89
Renowned Danish silversmith Georg Jensen was born in 1866. His training in metalsmithing and his education in the Fine Arts enabled him to develop a successful career based in beautiful jewelry and silver design. His signature Art Nouveau style grew increasingly popular, and Jensen became a world renowned artist. Although Jensen died in 1935, his pieces are still being created today using the same craftsmanship as when he was alive.
This exceptional Vintage ring designed by Georg Jensen is a wonderful example of his legendary work! The Vintage piece, which is from the 1960s, has a bold Modernist design crafted entirely in sterling silver. Consistent with Jensen's abstract sculptural style, the ring has an elongated heart shape with an open center and asymmetrical appearance. Stamped inside the ring are multiple markings, including the authentic "GEORG JENSEN" signature hallmark, “STERLING DENMARK,” and the number "89." This fabulous piece would make a great addition to any Jensen collection!
Measurements: The ring has an approximate finger size of 7. The elongated heart centerpiece measures 1 1/4” tall and 3/4” across at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling silver setting.
