Art Deco Silver & Carved Jadeite Earrings
A gorgeous pair of jadeite earrings from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! These beautiful earrings are made of darkened silver and have a lovely design that reflects their Chinese origin. Each earring begins with a floral filigree surmount, which is attached to a simple earring wire. A strand of fine chain hangs below, with a caged wirework bead resting in the middle. Dangling freely at the bottom is a carved jadeite ring, completing the simple yet lovely design. Both jadeite rings have beautiful natural coloring, which is translucent green mixed with pale hues of milky white. A silver wire grasps each jadeite ring, which is capped in a filigree wirework top. The earrings frame the face beautifully when worn and dangle with lovely movement. They would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long. The jade rings have a 1" outer diameter, a 1/4" inner diameter, and measure 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or earring wires, which are secure and intact. Both jadeite rings are free of any noticeable chips or surface scratches.
