KREMENTZ Art Nouveau 14kt Enamel Diamond Pin/Pendant
An incredibly lovely signed Krementz flower pin/pendant from the Art Nouveau (ca1900) era! This beautiful piece is made of 14kt yellow gold and portrays the shape of a vivid pansy flower in bloom with realistic three-dimensional detail. The entire face of the piece is covered in a detailed painted design with an enameled surface. The petals have hues of rich violet, pale yellow, and soft white throughout. The lifelike appearance consists of 5 separate petals that overlap each other and curve naturally, with delicate folds and scalloped edges. Resting at the center of the five overlapping petals is a single prong set diamond, adding a wonderful sparkle. The back of the piece reveals a drop-down bail and horizontal bar pin, making it easy to hang on a chain as a pendant, or fasten to a favorite garment and wear as a brooch. The clasp is stamped "14K" along with the Krementz hallmark. It's a wonderful and feminine piece that would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: When worn as a pendant, the flower hangs a little less than 1 1/4" long, is 1" wide and has a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or enamel work and the diamond is intact. The bail and pin clasp are secure and in good working condition.
