KREMENTZ Edwardian 14kt Platinum & Sapphire Filigree Pendant w/ Chain
This beautiful filigree piece from the Edwardian era (ca1910) is signed by Krementz! Made of platinum-topped 14kt yellow gold, the necklace is comprised of an elegant filigree pendant that hangs from a complimentary fine link chain. The pendant has an elongated curvilinear drop shape with a richly layered filigree wire work center. Delicate engraved detail and soft milgrain accents are present throughout the flowing, graceful design. Resting at the center of the piece is a single bezel set sapphire, which is beautifully faceted and has a stunning color. A hidden bail is connected to a delicate surmount at the top, through which the chain is threaded. An alternating pattern of yellow gold and platinum links forms the fine chain, which fastens at a spring ring clasp in the back. The back of the pendant is stamped "14K" along with the authentic Krementz hallmark. An exquisite and artistic piece, it would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurement: The chain measures 16" long. The filigree pendant hangs 1 1/2" long and measures 5/8" across at the widest point. The total weight of the piece is 2.3 dwt.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum-topped gold filigree setting, and the sapphire stone is intact. The chain is in good condition, and the bail and spring ring clasp are secure.
