LALIQUE French Art Nouveau 18kt Crystal & Pearl Tassel Necklace
An incredible René-Jules Lalique crystal necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era with an iconic round crystal plaque! This stunning crystal piece features the traditional Lalique frosted accents, and carries the gorgeous raised design of a woman who is kneeling within a garden of flowers, a single bouquet clasped in her outstretched hand. The transparent plaque hangs from a stunning 14kt white gold chain, which is comprised of delicate filigree links and rose cut diamond accents. Dangling below the crystal pendant is a natural seed pearl tassel that swings freely from the base. The gathered strands of pearls meet at an 18kt yellow gold clasp, which is lined with sparkling rose cut diamonds and delicate pink sapphires. The side of the crystal pendant is signed "R. LALIQUE", "FIORET" and "PARIS". A marvelous and artistic crystal piece, it looks enchanting when worn and would make a wonderful addition to any Lalique collection!
Measurements: The Lalique crystal pendant has a diameter of 1 3/8" and measures 3/16" thick. The tassel hangs 6" long below. The necklace measures approximately 25" long, and the tassel in the back hangs approximately 4" long. Each crystal bead measures 10mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There are a few minor chips to the crystal plaque, but they are small and not noticeable when worn. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the crystal beads, or silk cord.
