LARTER & SONS Art Nouveau 14kt Diamond Figural Flower Ring
A lovely gold flower ring by well-known Newark makers Larter & Sons from the Art Nouveau (ca1910) era! This feminine piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and depicts a blooming chrysanthemum-like flower which softly curves around the finger. Heavily carved details bring the image to life, including layered curved petals, elongated leaves and a soft stem which seamlessly merges into the simple gold band. At the center of the flower is a single old Mine Cut diamond which is prong set and has a total approximate weight of 0.10ct. Finishing the design is a smooth band that tapers slightly at the back, and stamped inside of the shank is the number "8," and gold purity mark "14" next to the Larter & Sons hallmark. A beautiful and unique ring, it would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.5 but could easily be resized. The flower centerpiece measures approximately 3/8" tall and 5/8" wide and the graduated band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and the diamond is intact and securely set.
