A fantastic pair of vintage Larter & Sons cufflinks from the 1970s! Made of 14kt yellow gold, each cufflink grips a bar-shaped link of faceted lapis lazuli stone. The lapis boasts a stunning royal blue color, which has very fine particles of gold dust flecked throughout. Each piece is faceted, creating a solid, multi-edge cylinder. A ridged gold ring holds each piece of lapis in place, connected to a bar and hinged airplane back. The side of each gold cufflink is stamped "585" beside the official Larter & Sons signature hallmark symbol. A wonderful and striking pair of vintage cufflinks, they would make a stylish addition to any collection!
Measurements: The lapis cylinder links measure 3/4" long and 1/4" thick. The cufflinks are 1" long, including the center bars and with open airplane backs.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or lapis stones, which are secure and intact. Both stones are free of any noticeable chips or scratches. The hinged airplane backs are in proper working order.
