Late Art Deco 18kt Diamond + Onyx Link Bracelet 1ctw
A simply fabulous onyx and diamond bracelet from the late Art Deco (ca1935-1938) era! This bold piece is crafted in 18kt white gold and features ten onyx and diamond links which come together to form a straight but flexible design. Each link holds a rectangular-shaped onyx plaque which has a raised faceted surface. Riveted and set in the center of each is a sparkling diamond which rests in a milgrained box setting. The rich black stones are framed by a stacked white gold border and hinge together at triangular connector links which have a lined, cutout surface. The overall approximate diamond weight of the bracelet is 1.00ctw and the black and white color scheme creates a stunning Deco appeal. The bracelet fastens at a clasp seamlessly hidden within one of the onyx links and is stamped with an Italian "star" hallmark which dates the piece to circa 1935-1938. This stunning bracelet would look beautiful worn by itself or grouped with other line bracelets and would make a perfect addition to any collection.
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2" long, is a little less than 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or onyx plaques and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
