Late Art Deco 18kt Emerald Diamond Drop Earrings
A spectacular pair of emerald and diamond earrings from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! These breathtaking earrings are crafted in 18kt white gold and hang from 14kt white gold wires. Each earring frames a luscious emerald cabochon at the center of a sparkling diamond border. The emeralds are prong set in open-back frames, weighing approximately 7.00ct each (14.00ctw combined). They are smoothly polished and display a stunning vivid green color. A combination of old European and Single Cut diamonds form the beautiful border, meeting at a single diamond surmount at the top. All of the stones are micro-prong set and accented by fine milgrained detail. The diamonds range in size and collectively, have a total approximate weight of 1.50ctw between both ears. The earrings hang from 14kt white gold lever-back earrings wires which are stamped "14K" along the side. When worn, they frame the face beautifully, and are stunning in motion. They would look exquisite worn on special occasions and would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, measures 5/8" at the widest point, and slightly more than 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting or clasped wires. All of the diamonds and both emeralds are intact and free of any chips or scratches.
