Late Art Deco 18kt Diamond & 12ct Star Sapphire Ring
A simply stunning sapphire and diamond cocktail ring from the Late Art Deco (ca1935) era! This fantastic piece has a large, natural star sapphire center that is a round cabochon shape. The stone weighs approximately 12ct+ and has a wonderful, rich blue color. In the center is a striking star that is very vibrant when it catches the light! The sapphire is surrounded by 16 Brilliant Cut sparkling diamonds that are bead set within the mounting. These diamonds weigh approximately 0.80ct tw and compliment the sapphire wonderfully. The star sapphire and diamonds are set in an 18kt white gold mounting that rests high above the finger. There is a horseshoe spring sizer on the inside of the ring to prevent it from flipping when worn. It looks absolutely stunning on and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The rings round setting has a 7/8" diameter and the depth measures 3/4" when worn. Because of the spring ring sizer, the finger size of the ring can fluctuate slightly from a size 6.25 to 7.25. It could be adjusted slightly in size if needed.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear to the gold, there is no apparent damage to the star sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact. The spring sizer is secure and in good working condition.
