A fantastic cameo ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The unusual design features a hand-carved tiger's eye stone at the center of a 10kt gold mounting. The cameo image depicts a 3-dimensional face, which is surrounded by flowing locks of curly hair. A single flower rests at the top of the head, surrounded by four delicate leaves. The tiger's eye stone has beautiful deep brown and golden caramel colors, which are iridescent and flash when turned in the light. The cameo rests within an open backed setting, which has a smooth and simple band and feathered accents at each shoulder. A very striking antique ring, it would make a unique addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size measuring between 5-6, but could be resized up or down as desired. The cameo measures 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide, and 5/16" thick. The band measures approximately 1.5mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the carved tiger's eye stone, which is intact and securely set.
