Late Victorian 14kt Carnelian & Seed Pearl Filigree Pendant
A beautiful and delicate carnelian pendant from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! This lovely piece has a very feminine design and is made of 14kt yellow gold. Resting at the center is a polished oval-shaped carnelian cabochon. The carnelian is bezel set and displays a rich, warm color. Surrounding the cabochon is an exquisite filigree wirework and delicate seed pearl frame, completing the attractive design. The filigree wirework is incredibly fine, and the pearls are all natural with a soft, shimmery luster. The gold frame is open in the back, and a simple jump ring at the of the pendant allows it to be easily hung and worn from a chain. A wonderful Victorian piece, it would look make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 1 3/8" long, is 1" wide, and measures 3/8" at its thickest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, carnelian cabochon, or seed pearls, all of which are intact. The jump ring is secure and in good condition.
