Late Victorian Petite 14kt Turquoise Pendant
A lovely turquoise charm from the Late Victorian era (ca1910)! This petite pendant features a natural turquoise stone held within a 14kt gold prong setting. A twisted gold rope border surrounds the turquoise stone, adding further texture to the design. The turquoise stone itself has beautiful natural color in shades pale blue and sea green. Natural brown mineral webbing known as “matrix” appears throughout the stone in a spider web fashion. At the top of the piece is a simple gold ring, perfect for hanging the piece from a fine gold chain or charm bracelet. It is perfect for any turquoise lover, and would make a beautiful everyday accessory!
Measurements: The pendant hangs 3/4” long, including the gold ring at the top. The turquoise cabochon and surrounding border measures 9/16” tall, 7/16” wide, and 1/4” thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or turquoise stone, which is securely set and free of chips or scratches. The gold ring for hanging is secure.
