Late Art Deco Sterling Silver Repousse Bangle Bracelet with Dragon Motif
A fantastic sterling silver bracelet from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This slip-on style bangle features an unusual repousse motif, displaying beautiful scrolled details and two slithering dragons that appear camouflaged within the design. The flowing image carries along the entire surface with wonderful texture which comes to life with lovely floral accents and swirls. Despite the bracelet's substantial appearance, the hollow design is lightweight and comfortable to wear. A "925" sterling purity mark is stamped several times on smoothly polished spots within the repousse detail. Measurements: The interior of the bracelet measures 2 1/2" in diameter and is 5/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the sterling silver setting or to the repousse design. There is a natural patina on the surface of the bracelet, which adds further depth to the beautiful repousse motif.
