Late Victorian Austrian Silver & Enamel "Lucky Star" Charm
A beautiful and meaningful charm from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! Of Austrian origin, this lovely piece is made of 800-900 grade silver and has an enameled design with a special message. At the top is a red Guilloché enamel star surrounded by engraved rays of light. Encircling the border are the black enamel words "ER SEI DEIN GLÜCKSSTERN," which translates to "He Be Your Lucky Star." Engraved on the back of the piece is the name "Maria Zell". The piece hangs from a silver bail at the top, and would look perfect worn on a favorite chain or charm bracelet. A charming and sentimental Victorian memento, it would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The charm hangs approximately 1" long, has a 3/4" diameter, and measures about 1mm thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver setting or enamel design, which is free of any noticeable chips or scratches. The bail at the top is securely attached.
