Victorian 9kt Natural Pearl Picture Frame 2.5" Diameter

A lovely pearl picture frame from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful round frame is made of solid 9kt gold and is decorated with 42 beautiful natural pearls that surround the glass center. The pearls are prong set and a have creamy white color and a high lustrous surface. A milgrained border lines both both sides of the pearls, perfectly completing the simple yet wonderful design. The exterior of the frame is stamped "9ct"and the back of the piece reveals a simple hinged v-bar stand. The frame opens from the front allowing you to store your own special photograph inside; currently, there is a simple burgundy colored piece of cloth behind the glass face. A beautiful Victorian piece, the frame has a simple, lovely design and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The frame has an overall exterior diameter of 2.5". The pearl border measures 0.25" wide, giving the exposed space for the photograph measuring 2" in diameter.

Condition: The overall condition of the frame is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold setting and all of the pearls are intact. The bar stand is secure and the removable photo face is intact.
