Retro 10kt Gold Opal Cabochon Cluster Ring
A beautiful and very unusual opal ring from the Retro (ca1940) era! Made of 10kt yellow gold, this breathtaking ring holds a gorgeous opal cabochon at the center of a delicate opal halo. The center stone is prong set and displays a mesmerizing range of iridescent colors in blue, green, violet, orange, pink, and gold hues. It is surrounded by a border of 18 smaller opal cabochons, which are are also prong set and alluring in appearance. The prongs have textured detail that frames the stones nicely, and the shoulders of the ring are decorated with a lovely carved design. Stamped inside the shank is "10K" along with a small maker's mark. An outstanding ring, it has a beautiful look when worn and would make a very special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.5 but could easily be resized. The opal centerpiece measures 3/4" tall, 5/8" wide, and has a depth of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to any of the opal stones, and all of which are intact.
